Tennessee Motorcyclists' Rights Group Wins National Award

September 28, 2005

CMT/ABATE, Tennessee's motorcyclist's rights organization, has been awarded the 2005 State Legislative Award from the Motorcycle Riders Foundation. John Pierce, Legislative Director and MRF state representative, accepted the award for CMT/ABATE and the legislative team members. CMT/ABATE was honored for their legislative efforts on behalf of all Tennessee motorcyclists. Individual members of CMT/ABATE lobbied their Senators and Representatives on a wide range of successful bills, and, in coordination with the Tennessee Department of Safety, launched a statewide motorcycle awareness billboard campaign.

CMT/ABATE, Inc. is a non-profit, political organization that was formed to preserve freedom and safety for all Tennesseans who enjoy motorcycling. The major goals of CMT/ABATE are to modify existing laws that are detrimental to motorcycle safety and enjoyment, and to enact new legislation in support of all motorcyclists who ride in Tennessee.  CMT/ABATE has charters located throughout Tennessee. For locations,  visit www.cmtabate.com or call 615 683-6608.
