Press Release

“Announcing the 2nd Annual CMT/ABATE Southern Thunder Rally”

May 8, 2005

CMT/ABATE’s 2nd Annual Southern Thunder Rally takes place May 20-22, 2005 at Red River Valley Park in Adams, TN, 35 minutes North of Nashville at the KY border. This annual event provides funding for operations as well as safety and legislative initiatives. CMT/ABATE is a 501C4 non-profit organization.

The 2005 Southern Thunder Rally brings the wildly popular Nitro Dirt Drags back to Adams for the thrill of high powered motorcycles running wide open for prizes and bragging rights. These are the same races as seen at Little Sturgis and Cherokee.

Plenty of available camping, a swap meet, bike show, and a great lineup of rock and roll bands, including the 69 band and hot Nashville newcomer, Stacie Collins will keep bikers entertained and a new “Miss Southern Thunder” will be crowned Saturday night. The Southern Thunder Rally also features a points rodeo, food and merchandise vendors and  some of the area’s finest riding.

Tickets are $25 for the weekend or $15 for a day pass and are available at the gate.
