2005 Scorecard

 

Congratulations to John Pierce, our Legislative Chairman, for conducting one of the most successful Lobbying campaigns in any state, at any time!  Bikers throughout the state of Tennessee will benefit from his efforts on our behalf.  Here are 5 bills and one proclamation advancing bikers' rights and motorcycle safety and awareness.  John also secured $15,000 to help us remind motorists to be motorcycle aware.

 

 Repealed  Arbitrary and discriminatory Apehanger Law (137Kbytes)
 Proclaimed  May, 2005 as "Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month" (11 Kbytes)
 Passed  Optional Military License Plates for Motorcycles (102 Kbytes)
 Passed  Helmet Free Parade Law (174 Kbytes)
 Passed  Right of Way Law for the safety and welfare of Motorcyclists (169 Kbytes)
 Passed  Ventilated Helmet Law to help reduce helmet induced fatigue (154 Kbytes)
 Allocated  $15,000 for Billboards and bumper stickers, promoting Motorcycle Safety and Awareness throughout the state of Tennessee
