04/18/06
It has been a busy month for me as your Director. I
have been to several charter meetings and events since assuming the
office March 11, 2006. I was invited and spoke at the TNCOC meeting. I
have been to the capitol for our ROW bill, and a "meet the candidates"
night, where I met the Republican Candidate for Governor, Jim Bryson. I
have been reviewing the by-laws, and working out duties for different
board members.
I am going to the MRF convention in April and the
NCOM convention in May. This is in addition to handling the usual issues
that come up in any organization. I would like to report that I and the
other board members are settling in and learning to work as a team. We
are working out any items that may keep us from our goals.
I believe the organization is moving in the right
direction, with a new spirit of optimism and a desire to put the
bickering of the past behind us and focus on our goals. I will continue
to attend Charter meetings as I am able, and any charter that wants or
needs to see me just has to let me know. I am committed to being
available where needed. We can only succeed together. No one person can
do it, so I am glad to receive your ideas, suggestions and yes, even
criticism.
If you have
a Charter problem, you should first speak to your Director before it
comes to me. If you just want to ask a question or talk to your
Director, my number is listed, so give me a call. I got to meet a lot of
you during the campaign, and hope to meet the rest of you soon. I need
the support of you the members. Without it, I can accomplish nothing.
